Worlds of IF - Science Fiction: November 1969 Novelette: "Happiness Is a Warm Spaceship" by James Tiptree, Jr. Serial: "The Seeds of Gonyl" (Part 2 of 3) by Keith Laumer (book title was The House In November) Stories: "To Kill a World" by Irwin Ross Features: "The Story of Our Earth: The Conquest of the Land" by Willy Ley Ejler Jakobsson is editor, Judy-Lynn Benjamin is managing editor, Lester del Rey is feature editor, Jack Gaughan is Associate Art Director. This year has seen a faltering of the monthly schedule (no June or August issues), along with a change of publisher (to UPD Corp. as of July, 1969) and editor (September issue was the first for new editor Ejler Jakobsson.) This shows the "new look": all interior illustrations by Gaughan, and almost all covers and art for both Galaxy and IF, giving them a very consistent and recognizable look. |
