Tight and square; colored ink has faded on flat spine - leaving only the date (see scans); a little rubbing wear to top of front cover; back cover has some rubbing wear or dirt buildup, and a 3" fold-trace at bottom left corner. Most/all issues since mid-1968 used a greenish-tint paper for part of the issue (here it was the Chapdelaine story) - it shows aging a little differently. Age-tanning is average or just a little worse; no stamps, marks or writing. |

Dean R. Koontz started out as a Science Fiction writer, but didn't find much recognition until he worked out the kind of tale he does best - a mixture of thriller, horror, and science fiction... then he became a best-selling author, and his early stories have become collectible. Frederik Pohl is editor emeritus, Judy-Lynn Benjamin is managing editor, Lester del Rey is features editor. This year will see a faltering of the monthly schedule (no June or August issues), along with a change of publisher and editor. The editorial this issue is Frederik Pohl's farewell. |
