IF 1966,March

Tight and almost square. Moderate overall wear - a little more to front cover next to spine. Age-tanning is a little less than average for its vintage. No stamps, marks or writing. The final 2 scans are "file-copies" I had on hand from a previously sold copy - included to show the quality of the artwork by Finlay for the serial - and will not match the aging of this copy for sale.)

Worlds of IF - Science Fiction: March 1966 Volume 16, No. 3
Illustrations by Dan Adkins, Jack Gaughan, Gray Morrow (3 for the Heinlein serial - and very good.) Cover by Castellon (for "Draft Dodger")

Short Novel: "The Long Way to Earth" by John Brunner [book version titled A Planet of Your Own / I don't know if it was longer…]

Novelette: "Dam Nuisance" by Keith Laumer (a "Retief" tale)

Serial: "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" (Part 4 of 5) by Robert A. Heinlein (this won Hugo Award - best novel)

Stories: "Ouled Nail" by H. H. Hollis
"Draft Dodger" by Kenneth Bulmer

This is issue #100. Edited by Frederik Pohl; Judy-Lynn Benjamin is Associate editor. Fandom column by Lin Carter. With Pohl at the helm (who also edited the sister magazines Galaxy and Worlds of Tomorrow), the lineup of authors is starting to look like a "Who's Who" of SF. Small wonder that this is the second of 3 consecutive years that IF wins the Hugo award for "best magazine" (in 1966, 1967 and 1968 - each for the previous year.)
