The "Bedsheet" sized issues of the Sixties were an interesting experiment made possible by the magazine being owned by the large Conde Nast chain- apparantly it did not generate enough advertising revenue to support it, and Analog reverted back to digest size in April, 1965. These are some of the best looking magazines you'll ever see, in terms of layout, artwork, and lineup of authors. John Schoenherr and Kelly Freas dominated the illustrations, but there were also other able artists. Analog won the "Hugo" award in 1964 & 1965 (for 1963, 1964 issues.) In 1963, P. Schuyler Miller received a special Hugo Award for his book reviews in Analog.
