ASTOUNDING 1953,March

Exposed to moisture at some point: front cover has faint fine wrinkles, back cover shows faint stain-trace 2" from spine. Some traces on interior pages - mostly towards back, and relatively minor/faint.

Astounding Science Fiction March 1953 (Volume 51, Number 1)
Illustrations by Paul Orban, Pawelka, H. R. van Dongen. Cover by Pawelka (for "Thou Good and Faithful.")

Novelettes: "Thou Good and Faithful" by John Loxmith (John Brunner)
"Button, Button" by Thomas Wilson.

Story: "Fool's Mate" by Robert Sheckley.

Article: "Five Billion Dollar Magpie" by Wallace West.

Serial: "Null-ABC" (conclusion) by H. Beam Piper & John J. McGuire (the only book version until an expensive "Print-on-demand" version - was half of an Ace Double in 1957, titled Crisis in 2140. I liked it a lot, and it seems to have been forgotten by those who collected most of Piper's stories in the early Eighties.)

John W. Campbell's editorial is "Unsane Behavior"; Book reviews by P. Schuyler Miller.
