This year, there is a dramatic size-change in the middle of the year (see scan.) Size changes from (5-1/8" by 7-3/8") to (5-3/8" by 8-1/2") - so that even though the pagecount goes down, the extra area means they can actually fit more into each issue (explained in May & June.) This is not a "new" size format - in the Fifties, British magaines Nebula and New Worlds (#4 to 20) were this same size. The change was made to try and keep the magazine from getting "lost" in newstand display.
