MAGAZINE OF F&SF 1956,September

Tight and almost square; spine is flat with light wear. Age-tanning is less than average for its vintage (insides of covers are dark - see my note for December 1956.) Moderate to noticeable overall wear, including long diagonal fold-trace down middle of cover (probably won't show in scan) which has echoes in the first 30-40 pages.

The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction: September 1956 (Volume 11, Number 3)
This is the issue dated 1955 on spine - so people who have the September 1955 issue tend to not pick this up!

Stories: "Operation Afreet" by Poul Anderson (novelet; 1st in the "Operation" series)
"Flying Dutchman" by Ward Moore
"Lonely Road" by Richard Wilson
"Some of My Best Fans Are Friends" (article) by Robert Bloch
"The Past and Its Dead People" by R. Bretnor
"Verb Sap?" by Lyle G. Boyd
"The War in the Air" by R. V. Cassill
"Stawdust" by Idris Seabright (Margaret St. Clair)
"Daxber/Baxbr" by Evelyn E. Smith (the words are arranged to form a "plus" sign, with "x" in common in the middle.)
