Tight and square; spine is flat with some spots of edgewear front & back. Very nice with minimal wear. Age-tanning is average for this vintage. Very clean inside & out. The only flaw of note is a faint stain-trace(?) at right side of cover - 1/4" wide at top to 1" wide at bottom, with a very straight edge (see scan.)
