Condition is near-Fine in a VG+ to near-Fine dustjacket: book is tight and square with the usual light bumping to spine ends. Outer/upper corners show mild bump-traces also. Unclipped DJ has no tears and very little wear. Inside of dustjacket shows darkening on backside of endflaps, and tape traces where a cheap DJ protector had been attached. Pages are very white with no marks or writing. | |||
A nice hardcover of Philip K. Dick's collection of stories: The Golden Man. This book club edition is the first hardcover edition, matching the contents of the original Berkley paperback from February of 1980. The Golden Man Also included are a Foreword by editor Mark Hurst, story notes and an Afterword by Philip K. Dick. Original appearances from 1954 to 1974 - in IF, Galaxy (2), Beyond, Famous SF, Worlds of Tomorrow, (The Original) Science Fiction Stories, Galactic Outpost, Orbit SF, Future SF (2), Amazing (2), and Magazine of F&SF. This is the first appearance in a P. K. Dick collection for any of these stories; 3 were later included in Robots, Androids, and Mechanical Oddities and all can be found dispersed through the 5 volumes of the "Collected Philip K. Dick." |
