The Island Under the Earth - The world of this fantasy is in a constant state of flux, where "Earthflux" and "Starflux" are signs of occasional slips of the "shield" between this world and the other (presumably our own.) We follow the quest of Captain Stag and his band - the bosun, Spahana (the captain's woman), the goodwoman Rary, and others - as they travel to Stonehouse Hobar. They meet a fantastic assortment of strange folk and customs, including the sixlimbed folk (the centaurs or "Sixies") - thumbless beings living wild and free in the forests, whose blood burns like acid on the skin of humans. And then there are the wyvern, the homophage, the 2 dwarves Atom & Mote, the golems, and the Harpy, Auntie Ghreck. [I am indebted to a review by Richard Delap in Amazing January 1970, which helped me give some idea of the plot.]
