Ace Double (M-107) 1964 paperback; 45 cent cover price. Condition is Fine-: tight and very square with flat spine, age tanning is mild and uniform (less than you expect for its vintage), minor bump-trace at top of "Alternate" side (see scan.) Initials of previous owner scrawled on inside covers; no other writing, stamps or marks - a clean copy that is obviously unread.

Ace Double (M-107), containing Into the Alternate Universe bound with The Coils of Time - both sides by A. Bertram Chandler. This first edition is from 1964; it was reprinted in 1973 - both times as an Ace Double.

The Coils of Time (cover and frontispiece by Jack Gaughan, 128 pages) - Christopher Wilkinson meets with Dr. Henshaw, who tells him he's just invented a time machine. Wilkinson says he want no part of this, but gets promptly dragged in over his head. There is a sequel: The Alternate Martians.

Into the Alternate Universe (cover by Ed Valigursky, frontispiece by Jack Gaughan, 128 pages) - Sonya Verrill of the Interstellar Federation Survey Service talks Commodore John Grimes of the Rim into coming along on a search for Rim Ghosts or passage to an alternate universe, with her own private agenda. They break through - to an endless gulf, where they find an ancient and abandoned ship from the seas of Earth: the Waratah. Then there's the problem of how to get back to their own universe.
