Judy-Lynn Benjamin was a SF fan, and editorial assistant at Galaxy/IF from 1969 to mid-1973; then she moved to Ballantine Books, where she was so successful they named the SF imprint Del Rey Books for her. (She married Lester Del Rey in 1971.)
