Original magazine version was in Startling Stories July 1940. [Extent of any revisions is unknown.]

"Eando Binder" is the pen-name for the collaborating team of the brothers Earl Binder and Otto Binder. (Earl died in 1965, so the late Sixties / early Seventies batch of books are by Otto Binder solo / any late revisions of early works can be attributed to him.) This cover looks like many that were reprinted from the German Perry Rhodan magazine - but I'd have to see a complete run to check.

Curtis Books [502-07106] 1971? paperback. Cover by Jack Faragasso, 158 pages, 75 cent cover price. Condition is near-Fine (or better): tight and square with flat spine; mild uniform tanning. Slight wear to top edge and middle of bottom edge of front cover; back cover has a light 1" line at middle of left edge, and a faint haze of white dots. This is probably ink-transfer or depletion (see my listing for Binder's The Double Man for a more detailed explanation of this - I believe that is the book that may have picked up the transfer from this one on its front cover.) This has stamps on the first page and page 85, and an extra one on the top page block. No other stamps, marks or writing - a very clean copy that is obviously unread.
