VG+ to near-Fine

Grosset & Dunlap (1967?) hardcover - yellow spine. (Copyright 1963 - lists to #29, Tom Swift and the Captive Planetoid on back cover - which is from 1967.) Cover? and interior illustrations by Charles Brey, 178 pages. No price code. Book condition is VG+ to near-Fine: tight and square, age tanning is very mild and uniform, light bumping/wear at ends of spine. A couple of faint smudges on right side of page block; no writing, stamps, or interior marks - a clean copy which is square enough that it may not have been read.

Twenty-first in the "Tom Swift, Jr." series that appeared under the "house" name of Victor Appleton II: Tom Swift and The Asteroid Pirates (copyright 1963 - ghostwritten by James Duncan Lawrence - who did 24 books in the series.) This second series of Tom Swift books (written 1954-1971) featured the son of the hero of the first "Tom Swift" series (written 1910-1941.) There were 2 more follow-up series, but neither was very long-lived. Since I got "burned-out" writing new plot summaries or transcriptions for my listing of the "Rick Brant" series I've sold, look at scan #2 for the inside 3rd page copy - which is usually a decent summary. (I wouldn't make judgements about paper color from this, since I adjusted contrast to improve readability - and the scan is from a different copy.)
