An autographed first edition: This is #400 of a 650 copy boxed, signed edition from Phantasia Press, simultaneous with the Doubleday hardcover "trade edition" of September 1985. I did some checking in old issues of LOCUS to see if it really did come out at the same time, and in the October 1985 issue, both editions are listed in the September "books received" listing, and noted as a simultaneous release. Phantasia Press (West Bloomfield, MI) September 1985 hardcover. Wraparound cover and color frontispiece by Paul Lehr, 349 pages, $50.00 cover price. (6-1/4" by 9-1/4" by 1-1/2") Condition is Fine in a Fine dustjacket: book is tight and very square, no bumping at top & bottom of spine or corners; age tanning is very mild and uniform (good quality paper.) No stamps, marks, or writing - a very clean copy. Dustjacket is unclipped ($50.00 price) with no tears or flaws. The box is in great shape, with maybe a hint of dust / slight wear after 30+ years on a bookshelf. This is as-new and unread. | |||
