VG+ or better

Bantam first printing September 1963 paperback (hardcover was in 1962.) Cover by Dean Ellis, 215 pages. Condition is VG+ or better: tight and square with flat spine; spine shows slight wear along edges; age tanning is mild to moderate; back cover shows light wear and/or dirt (see scan.) No stamps, marks or writing. The age-tanning is consistent with its age - if it were less, I would grade this higher and ask much more, as this is the first paperback appearance of an important and well-known novel by a famous author.

Something Wicked This Way Comes - Cooger & Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show crept into town late one night to the eerie whine of a calliope. In the fearful days that followed, a schoolteacher suddenly becomes a little girl, a rosy-cheeked boy became a wizened Methuselah, a full-grown man became a tiny dwarf. Jim and Will, 2 thirteen-year-old boys, stumble onto the grisly secrets of the Show - the sinister merry-go-round, the wax museum of living people, the strange mirror that stole souls... Disney made a pretty good movie out of this, but - trust me - the book is better. This is my favorite Bradbury book, and it easily makes my top 100 list.
