Weird of the White Wolf - an Elric book, third in the 1977 DAW uniform series (the numbering keeps changing when new books are added which take place earlier in the chronology.) This is a collection of related stories, combining parts of 2 earler books: taking the first 2 of 4 pieces from The Singing Citadel (1970), reversing their order, and inserting between them the first 2 of 5 parts of The Stealer of Souls (1967.) "While the Gods Laugh" is the story where Elric meets his sidekick Moonglum. I like the one's with Moonglum best, possibly because it give's Elric someone to talk to, rather than just riding about being grim.

(Contents):
Prologue: The Dream of Earl Aubec - (original title: "Master of Chaos")
Book One: The Dreaming City
Book Two: While the Gods Laugh
Book Three: The Singing Citadel

Original appearances from 1961 to 1967 - in Science Fantasy (2), Fantastic, The Fantastic Swordsmen. These are probably somewhat revised, as numerous editions noted corrections to unauthorised edits, and Moorcock is an author who seems to keep polishing the text as new editions come out.
