Tight and almost square; spine is very slightly dished with raised wrinkle down length (as printed.) Age tanning is very light and uniform - much less than expected for a book of this vintage. No stamps, marks or writing.

A space opera in the old fashioned tradition of SF: Earthblood, by Keith Laumer and Rosel George Brown. Serialized in If magazine in 1966. Rosel George who?, you ask? She's the author of a pair of novels about Police Sergeant Sibyl Sue Blue, and a collection of stories from the early Sixties: A Handful of Time.

This reads mostly like a typical Laumer of the Sixties: tough hero able to work to his advantage the few breaks he gets, emerging on top of the system. Roan, a pure-strain human (extremely rare for this part of space) is kidnapped and part of interplanetary circus until picked up by the pirate Henry Dread. They knock about the Galaxy, looking for Roan's origin, eventually finding their way to old Terra.
