Book is very tight and square - probably unread. DJ has no tears or wear, and is in a good condition DJ protector. Right first endpaper has a magazine cover (from the serialization) glued to it with rubber cement (see Scan #5.)

A shorter version was serialized in Magazine of F&SF December 1963 & January 1964 as "The Tree of Time."

Damon Knight was well-known as author, critic, and editor - a fan, member of the Futurians, editor (or assistant editor) of various magazines in the Forties and Fifties and the "ORBIT" anthology series in the Sixties & Seventies. He became prominent in the Fifties as a book reviewer/critic, and also for his stories (including "To Serve Man.") He married SF writer Kate Wilhelm, and died in 2002.
