Joseph Green's Conscience Interplanetary - a "fix-up" novel built from 5 novelets originally published from 1965 to 1972. The credits page lists only the first 4 of these - and most sources that I've seen accept this.

The stories originally appeared from 1965 to 1972 - in Galaxy, Magazine of F&SF (2), Analog, IF. All pieces are slightly revised from magazine appearance. Chapter(s) 5, 12-13, and 22 to 27 are original to the 1972 Gollancz hardcover. "The Dwarfs of Zwergwelt" appeared in IF June 1972 - which technically is after the March appearance of the Gollancz hardcover (although it would have been sold to IF well before the book came out.)
